Carolyn C. Dickey, age 90, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at Wayne Hospital in Greenville, Ohio.
She was born on July 15, 1931, in Greenville, to the late Lawrence and Mary (Brenner) Case.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Dickey; and her siblings, Robert Case, Marcelle Hoff and Nova Harmon.
Carolyn was a 1949 graduate of Greenville High School. After graduation, Carolyn worked at several places as a secretary. She was a member of the Beamsville Christian Church for many years, where in the past, she taught Sunday School. Carolyn enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden or with her cats and chickens. She was a lifelong housekeeper who enjoyed watching her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a strong, caring and feisty woman.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Kevin Dickey of Ansonia, Martha Garner of Ansonia, Tim (Mindy) Dickey of Union City, Ohio, and Karen Reier of Ansonia; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; her sister, Elizabeth Smith; and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at noon on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville, Campus, with Pastor Steve Short officiating. Burial will follow in Stelvideo Cemetery.
Carolyn’s family will receive guests on Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
