Chad Howell

Chad Howell, 51, of Union City, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 4, 2022, at his home. 

He was born on May 28, 1970, in Greenville, Ohio, to Alicia (Wright) Conklin of Union City, Indiana, and the late Earl Howell. 

In addition to his father, Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Mae Howell, and Howdy and Dody Wright; his brother, Shawn Howell; his nephew, Cade “Cademan” Hill. 

Chad was a 1988 graduate of Faith Christian School in Greenville. He then followed his passion of helping others and pursued his Licensed Practical Nursing. He worked for the Wayne County Jail in Richmond as a care provider. Chad’s nieces and nephews were his pride and joy. He enjoyed his time with them and treated them as his own children. Chad always had a smile on his face and was known for this great hugs. In his free time, Chad enjoyed fishing and camping, and collecting Coca-Cola and Star Wars items. 

In addition to his mother, Chad is survived by his stepfather, Greg Conklin of Union City, Indiana, his sister, Gina Hill and her husband, Shayne, of Somerset, Kentucky; his brother, Gabe (Kasey) Howell, of Union City, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Tammy Howell of Greenville; his step sisters, Stephanie Conklin and Melissa Varvel; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and special friends. 

A Celebration of Chad’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Bruce Byran officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Teegarden Cemetery. 

Guests may visit with Chad’s family on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to until the start of the service at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
