APRIL 24, 1947 – AUGUST 28, 2023
Cheryl F. Gilmore, age 76 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 8:20 PM at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. Born in Greenville on April 24, 1947, she was a daughter to the late J. Robert & Ruth (Miller) Slonaker. She was a graduate of Greenville High School, Class of 1965. Cheryl was a lifetime member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. More than anything she was a loving mother, wife and mamaw, she loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law Helen Gilmore.
Survived by her husband of 56 years, Gary Gilmore, whom she married on November 4, 1966: children Joseph Gilmore; Jeff & Ginger Gilmore; Jason Gilmore; Jenny & Chris Conway: grandchildren Amber & Chris Horner; Nicholas Gilmore; Sam Gilmore & Ari Loney: Eli Meyer: great-grandson Finley Horner: brother John & Linda Slonaker: in-laws Eddie Grace Young; Frank & Claudia Gilmore: special family members Ranee Gilmore; Sara Gilmore: as well as nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
