Chief is waiting at the Animal Shelter for his fur-ever home

The Darke County Animal Shelter has Chief available for adoption.

He got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and is heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.

The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645

Chief came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Chief is a 4-year-old, neutered male Shepherd Mix. We do know that Chief is not a fan of cats. Chief has shown us that he knows how to sit, likes treats and loves to play with toys. Chief is a very sweet boy who is just waiting on his forever family. Chief is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Chief did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 79 lbs.
