Christine A. Delaney age 72, of Greenville passed away at 11:46 AM on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at her son’s residence.
Christine was born July 16, 1949, in Greenville to Theresa (Powell) Hosbrook of Greenville and the late Basil R. Hosbrook. In addition to her father, Christine is also preceded in death by her husband, David J. Delaney Sr.; daughter, Shirley V. Cline; sisters, Gloria J. Coulter; brother-in-law, Gary Delaney; sister-in-law, Kathy Eslinger; and nephew, Doug R. Sleppy.
Christine is survived by her children, David Delaney Jr. of Florida, Tammy Hittle & Eric Cassel of Greenville, Robert & Joyce Delaney Sr. of Greenville and Robin & Jerry Kaufhold of Greenville; son-in-law, Ev Cline of Greenville; grandchildren, Austin (Amber) Hosbrook, Aaron (Chloe) Cline, Madison Cline, David (Alyssa) Delaney III, Donavan Delaney, William Hittle, Nathaniel Hittle, Courtney (Jason) Delaney, Alexis Delaney, Katlyn Delaney, Robert Delaney Jr., Olivia Delaney, Hailey Delaney, Brandon (Sarah) Julian, Cayden Vaughan, Dallas (Emily) Cassel, Daniel (Shelby) Cassel, Marissa (Riley) Cassel, Dylan Cassel and Macy Cassel; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Delaney, Harmony Hosbrook, Hazel Hittle, Everleigh Hanley and Alejandra Delaney; sisters & brother-in-law, Carol & Jeff Cole of Monroe and Diana Sleppy of Greenville; sister-in-law, Patricia & John Doty of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Christine was a homemaker. She was a member of the Greenville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Greenville VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
