Christopher Dale Hostetler, 72, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
He was born on December 15, 1951, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late Danny and Frances (Ridge) Hostetler.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his nephew, Thomas Graber III.
Chris is survived by his sister Julie and Deacon Thomas Graber of Greenville; his niece, Ann (John) Weathers of Oakwood, Ohio: his nephew, Mark Graber of Greenville: his great niece, Catherine Weathers; and his close cousins, John (Joanna) Ridge and Kim (Dave) Burroughs.
Chris was a 1970 graduate of Warwood High School, Warwood, WV. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in January of 1972, and continued to serve his country honorably as a Radiology Specialist. In his free time, Chris enjoyed reading, watching sport of all kinds, especially Cincinnati teams, and keeping up with recent events and politics. Chris enjoyed spending time with family at gatherings.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Tribute Funeral Homes, 1000 N. Broadway Street, Greenville, Ohio, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 233 W. Third Street, Greenville Ohio. A private burial, with full military honors, will take place at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
