The City of Greenville is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time position of an Inspector/Stormwater Technician.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Primary construction season duties include: the on-site inspection of various city public works projects, private infrastructure affecting or connecting to public infrastructure, and public improvement construction and placement. Completes daily reports regarding inspections performed. During seasons when construction activities are limited, the inspector will, under direction, design and prepare construction plans for public works projects; prepare technical specifications; prepare permitting documents; prepare construction cost estimates; inspect zoning permit applications; respond to inquiries from the public; and performs other duties as assigned by the City Street Superintendent. In addition, zoning inspection, GIS mapping, Utility locates, and Storm water compliance will be performed on an as-needed basis.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in civil engineering technology, construction management or comparable education with strong technical concentration; training and/or experience which evidences knowledge of construction, surveying and GIS mapping.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid Ohio’s Driver License.
SALARY: Pay ranges from $25.13 to $31.11 an hour, plus benefits.
