From May 22 to June 4, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office is participating in the statewide “Click it or Ticket” campaign. This campaign is part of a grant which the Sheriff’s Office received through the Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Safety Office. This campaign coincides with the National Highway Traffic Administration’s national Click it or Ticket high-visibility enforcement.
Starting today, additional Darke County deputies will be doing extra patrol in an effort to improve safety on Darke County roadways. This is one of several campaigns that the Darke County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in throughout the summer. Darke County residents should be aware that they will be seeing more deputies out on the roadways during the summer to enforce traffic violations and help improve traffic safety.
