Clifford E. Hoblit age 96, of Greenville passed away at 10:20 pm Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Oakley Place in Greenville.
Clifford was born April 25, 1928, in Modesto, California, to the late Orville Otto & Sylvia May (Schleigher) Hoblit. Clifford was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Esther (Flommersfeld) Hoblit; brothers, Wilbur, Larry and Rodney Hoblit; and sisters, Louise Hunley and Janice Baker.
Clifford is survived by his siblings, Carl Hoblit of West Milton, Robert & Suzanne Hoblit of Maysville, North Carolina, Anna Fair Gettysburg, Carolyn & Ron Stamps of Pendleton, Indiana, Marian & Charles Miller of Arcanum and Dale Hoblit of Florida; sister-in-law, Lois Hoblit of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clifford proudly served in the US Army from 1950-1952. He retired from General Motors where he was a machinist for 31 years. He enjoyed fly fishing, golfing and traveling.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Ken Oren officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.
