The Great Darke County Fair…

Well, happy smiles with an occasional frown or two, like one from a
little girl who had absolutely no intention of climbing onto the pony
ride… despite the encouragement of Mom and Dad.
Then there’s the little boy who would really like his ferris wheel ride
to go faster.
However, most seemed to be having a good time… including the County
News Online volunteers who covered the general fairway – Elaine Bailey
and Bob Robinson; the Cheerleading Contest – Elaine Bailey, Dylan
Hoover and George Starks; and Harness Racing – George Starks. See the

story for Monday’s County News Online. Starks was back at the racetrack

beef and dairy cows to rabbits and lambs… plus trophy winners when we
happen to be there. Lots of photos were taken, especially in these
