He rose early in the morning to learn weather forecasts and market forecasts in other time zones.

Relatives and friends could depend on Craig to arrange tours of the trading floor when visiting Chicago. He enjoyed riding his bike around Grant Park and the lake. For many years he shared his father’s enjoyment of horses and harness racing. Craig often spent weekend time in Darke County at the family farm and in recent years he and Luann built a home in New Madison where he continued to consult with customers and complete buys and sales remotely.

The family wants to express special thanks for the kind efforts of Anne-Marie Downing, his personal caretaker, and the staff and nurses at Everheart Hospice, and to Tim Brinley, his lifelong friend and dependable helper during Craig’s illness.

A service of remembrance is planned at the New Madison United Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 3, at 1:00 p.m. Pastor David Richey and the Reverend Carol Duffield will lead the service. Friends and family are invited to share a meal following the service.
