Dale Paul Clark age 80, beloved husband, father and papaw passed away at 9:46 PM on Friday, October 8, 2021, at the Dayton VA Hospital.
Dale was born June 9, 1941, in Arcanum to the late Cleyon Shields & Elfreda Amelia (Matthieu) Clark. In addition to his parents, Dale was also preceded in death by a grandson, Seanathan; granddaughter, Kandi; and brother-in-law, Jerry Alexander.
Dale is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Debbie (Perry) Clark whom he married December 7, 1996; children, Kirk (Annetta) Clark of Castine, Kelly Spitler of arcanum, Kris Clark of Arcanum, Kerry (Alva) Fuson of Laura, Jason (Michelle) Perry of Clayton and Matthew (Lauren Warner) Strickland of Arcanum; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Marilyn Alexander of Stockport, Susan (David) Gray of Greenville and Linda (Dan) Yeomans of Greenville; and many special friends and loved ones.
Dale served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for Cooper Blacktop in Ludlow Falls. Dale was a member of the Pitsburg Church of the Brethren, Arcanum V.F.W. and the Greenville Eagles.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Pitsburg Church of the Brethren 8376 Pitsburg-Laura Rd. Arcanum with Pastor Ken Oren officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Memorial contributions may be made to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home to help assist with funeral expenses.
