Daniel H. Batten, Jr., 84, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Friday, May 27, 2022, at his home.
He was born on April 23, 1938, in Union City, Indiana, to the late Daniel and Lucy (Goodpaster) Batten, Sr.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother, John Batten.
Danny worked at Lambert Corporation for 39 years as plant manager. After Lamberts, he was employed by Moody’s Auto Sales in Ansonia for a short time. Danny enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, horses, auctions, and going to ball games. Danny especially loved his family and spending time with them on holidays at his home.
Danny is survived by his wife, Beverly (Sowers) Batten, whom he married on June 30, 1981; his children, Michael (Teresa) Batten, and Darla (Todd) Printz, all of Ansonia, Ohio; his grandchildren, Sara (Dan) Kaiser, Chris (Chelsea) Printz, Joe (Grace Garrison) Batten, and Alyssa (Chad) Miley; his great grandchildren, Holden Kaiser, Halle Kaiser, Elowyn Printz, and Dreyden Shroder; his brother, Jerry Batten of Ansonia; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved Jack Russel pup, Taz.
A celebration of Danny’s life will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.
Guests may visit on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the start of the service at 1:00 PM.
