Greenville – The Darke County Friends of the Animal Shelter donate a protective vest for the Darke County K-9 Annie. Annie, a 2 year old Bloodhound is the newest of the 3 Darke County K-9s and is mainly used for tracking missing persons, including children, the elderly, or fugitives. Annie’s partner is Deputy Tyler Young.
The group also donated a new training bite suit, presented to Deputy Colton Magel and his K9-partner Bear, a 3-year-old black German Shepherd. Bear is mainly used for narcotics, search and seizure, apprehension, tracking, article searches, as well as general search and recovery.
The Darke County Friends of the Shelter is a 501 (C) 3 Non-Profit Organization made up of various community members of Darke County.
