GREENVILLE, OHIO – Public Health Officials at the Darke County Health Department want to remind citizens to safeguard their health this upcoming fall and winter by receiving their flu shot.
Beginning Tuesday, September 17th, The Darke County Health Department will offer flu immunizations on a walk-in basis. These clinics will operate through the month of October while supplies last. Clinic hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. For billing purposes, those who have medical coverage should bring a copy of their insurance card. A copy of the card will be made on site and then the insurance company will be billed. Flu vaccines are almost always covered by insurance. Those under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The Darke County Health Department also offers in-home flu immunizations for home-bound Darke County residents. Home-bound residents are often at high-risk for flu complications. The Health Department also offers on-site influenza immunization clinics for area businesses, at no extra cost. On site flu clinics result in less time off work due to flu shot appointments and influenza illness.
For any questions on these clinics, to schedule an in-home flu shot or business clinic, or to learn more, please call 937-548-4196 ext. 224.
