GOP Women to hear primary election candidates
GREENVILLE, OHIO – The Darke County Republican Women’s Club (DCRWC) is hosting Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Director Kay Robbins and Republican candidates on the August 2 special primary election ballot. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. on July 11th at the Shawnee Nature Preserve, 4267 State Route 502, Greenville.
The following Republican candidates have been invited to speak: Stephen A. Huffman (incumbent) for 5th District State Senator; Jena Powell (incumbent) for 80th District State Representative; Angela N. King, Jacob Larger & Aimee Morrow for 84th District State Representative; Steve A. Bruns (incumbent) for 5th District State Central Committeeman; Mary Beth Kemmer (incumbent) & Jessica Franz for 5th District State Central Committeewoman; Keith Cheney (incumbent), Jake Eilerman, & George Andy Roberts for 12th District State Central Committeeman; Katie DeLand (incumbent) & Stephanie Kremer for 12th District State Central Committeewoman. Candidates attending will be asked to give a short presentation and to be available before and after the meeting for questions.
CASA Director Kim Robbins and CASA volunteer Angie Shellabarger will speak about the importance of CASA, what it does and how to become a volunteer.
“The August Republican special primary election is very important as it allows Republicans to choose a Party candidate to run in the November general election. Voters will have a chance to meet these candidates at the meeting.” said Jaime LeVeck, DCRWC President. “CASA is an important step in protecting Darke County youth in the court system. Volunteers are needed. Today’s youth is tomorrow’s future! Please join us on July 11th.”
The program is free and does not require reservations. The Club offers an optional dinner at 6 p.m., prior to the speaker’s program. The meal cost per person is $10 and requires reservations.
