Greenville man jailed on felony warrants
On February 20, 2022 at approx. 5:41 P.M. Gary Williams III ,28, of Greenville was transported to the Darke County Jail after being arrested on two felony warrants. While Darke County Corrections officers were performing intake duties they located three clear bags inside Mr. Williams pants pocket. The bags are suspected to contain Methamphetamine. The bags were collected and are being sent to the Miami Valley Crime Lab for analysis. Conveyance charges are pending the results of the lab analysis. Mr. Williams is being held at the Darke County Jail on the felony warrants.

Driver charged with OVI
On February 20, 2022, at approximately 2119 hours, Darke County Deputies along with Liberty Township FD and Tri-Village Rescue responded to the 300 block of North Main Street in Palestine, Darke County, OH reference to a single vehicle accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a red, 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Jason Perdue, 51, of Greenville was traveling Northbound on N. Main St. when he failed to maintain control of his vehicle, traveling off the right side of the roadway before striking a utility pole. Mr. Perdue was treated and released at the scene by Tri-Village Rescue.
Mr. Perdue was arrested at the scene for Operating a Vehicle under the Influence of alcohol. Mr. Perdue was charged with OVI and Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle.

Driver flees traffic stop; chase ensues
On February 20, 2022 at approximately 9:20 P.M Darke County Deputies were patrolling the area of State Route 118 near Horatio Harris Creek Road. Deputies attempted to stop a Gray 2017 Ford Fusion for a traffic violation. When Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle it fled North bound on State Route 118 at a high rate of speed. A pursuit ensued with the vehicle and Deputies were able to get the vehicle stopped on Main Street at Vernier Street in Ansonia Ohio. The driver Michael Pearson, 21, of Ansonia was arrested at the scene. Mr. Pearson was found to be in violation of several traffic and criminal laws. Mr. Pearson was booked into the Darke County Jail for Failure to Comply and Driving under suspension. Mr. Pearson was also charged with Possession of Marijuana, having expired license plates and for a speed violation. The Versailles Police Department and the Ansonia Police Department also responded to the scene and assisted with the apprehension of Mr. Pearson.
