David L. “Prittle” Richhart, 70 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 12th, 2021 at 3:10 PM at his residence. He was born June 3rd, 1951 in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Jack and Edith (Yagle) Richhart.
David earned a Degree in Photography from The Dayton Art Institute in 1972. He worked as a brick mason with his father and brothers for over 40 years.
Davey, as he was known to his family, was a member of the Versailles Eagles. He had a wonderful, dry sense of humor and his infectious laugh made everyone smile. David was a multi-talented artist and photographer and could play numerous musical instruments but never had a lesson. Prittle loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and spent most mornings chatting with his “gang” at the Sweet Shop or Sideliners in Versailles. He collected antiques and especially enjoyed antique trains and cameras. In his younger days, David was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his muzzleloader, bow hunting, and fishing (especially flyfishing). Davey loved cooking with his family during the holidays and being around his niece and two nephews whenever he could.
David is survived by his siblings: Dan Richhart, Terry & Kimberly (Meeker) Richhart, Corine & Dwight Bevins, and Todd Richhart; nephews: Jordan & Ashley (Reddick) Bevins, Zach C. Bevins, and his niece, Jordan Spychalski.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 29th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Andrew Costa officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Versailles Life Squad.
