Darke County Center for the Arts begins its presentations in local schools with Mister C, an award-winning educator who had been a science teacher, curriculum supervisor, and building principal before launching a career as a presenter of multi-media presentations in schools across the nation. Mister C will present his engaging program proving that science is fun to fourth through sixth grade students in all Darke County and Greenville City schools September 19 through September 22. “Mister C knows how to inspire and engage learners of all ages,” said DCCA Artistic Director David Warner. “His high energy presentation fascinates audiences, who have a whole lot of fun learning about science,” Mr. Warner explained.
Mister C, known for his upbeat math and science songs as well as his hair-raising science experiments, has created memorable learning experiences for audiences of all ages, won Emmy Awards for his television appearances, and is always working to create new and exciting content for his programs. An educator for over twenty years, Mr. C uses video and music to enhance his exciting presentations proving that science can be fun.
DCCA’s AIE series continues October 19 and 20 with ArtRageous performing at Henry St. Clair for junior high students. Then, international award-winning entertainer David Anthony will travel to all local high schools October 23 to 27, entertaining students with his comedy magic show. The Singing Zoologist Lucas Miller will close the AIE season November 7 through 10 when he teaches kindergarten through third grade students about metamorphosis, wetlands, ocelots, and more.
DCCA’s Arts In Education season will creatively bring excitement and fun to cultural enrichment, exemplifying the organization’s mission.
