Darke County Center for the Arts will present Duo Balalaika in concert at the Arts Depot in Union City on Thursday, May 8. Siberian virtuoso Oleg Krugiyakov and American concert pianist Terry Boyarsky, two unique musicians who merge cultures while making music, strive to take audiences around the world and across time with their music, and hope to create experiences of a one-world community, providing universally enriching entertainment that can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages.
Duo Balalaika will play music from five continents and a dozen different composers to set spirits soaring, including folk songs, classical minuets, stately mazurkas, toe-tapping tangos, stirring Gypsy music, and soulful romantic sounds. Tickets for the performance by Duo Balalaika are $20 and can be purchased on DCCA’s Website www.DarkeCountyArts.org, or at the DCCA office located on the third floor of Greenville Public Library, and, if any remain, will be available at the door the night of the show.
