DCRWC to host Darke County Board of Elections Director

Director Paul Schlecty to speak

GREENVILLE, OHIO – The Darke County Republican Women’s Club (DCRWC) is hosting featured speaker Paul Schlecty at 6:30 p.m. on November 8 at the Shawnee Prairie Nature Center, 4267 State Route 502, Greenville. Schlecty will present an update on the most recent general election results and other procedures at the Darke County Board of Elections.

Schlecty, an Ansonia High School graduate, received his bachelor’s degree in business from Wright State University. During college, he worked for Celina Insurance in Information Technology (IT). After graduation, he was employed in IT at Crown Equipment.

Looking for a change, he decided to apply for the Director’s position at the Darke County Board of Elections. He read the Director’s manual completely through twice in preparation for the interview process.

“Educated voting is so very important to the functioning of our nation, state and community. Taking the time to inform ourselves about the process is one important step. Please plan to attend and learn the inside view of our local election board.” said Jaime LeVeck, DCRWC President.

Schlecty lives in Darke County and in his free time, enjoys hunting, kayaking and golfing.

The program is free and does not require reservations. Prior to the speaker’s program, the Club offers an optional dinner beginning at 6 p.m. The dinner is at a cost per person of $10 for those who would like to attend and have made reservations for the meal. Dinner reservations must be made prior to noon, November 4 by calling Wavelene Denniston at (937) 547-6477 or emailing her at: DCRWReservations@darkegop.org.
