April 16, 1935 – January 29, 2025
Deloris I. (Flora) Spille, age 89 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away the morning of January 29, 2025, at her cottage at Brethren’s Retirement. Deloris was born April 16, 1935, in Brookville, Ohio to Howard and Viola (Steck) Flora.
In addition to her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Spille, grandson Jeffrey A. Spille and her sister Patty.
She is survived by her four sons Kent (Susan), Mark (Lisa), Scott (Chris), and Gary; eight grandchildren Sarah (Justin Haines), Elizabeth (Mike Witten), Brent (Casey) Spille, Jennifer (Stephen McGuire), James Spille, Brian Spille, Brandi (Jake Turner), and Stewart Spille; nine great-children; her brother David Flora and numerous nieces and nephews.
During her final months, Deloris was cared for by wonderful caregivers who became friends to the family: Michelle, Teresa, Martha, and her beloved granddaughter Brandi. The Family gives special thanks to Dr. Lynn Hawley and the special women of Hospice, April and Haley.
Deloris was a school bus driver for Greenville City Schools for 25 years. In retirement, she loved spending time with her family, watching the Cincinnati Reds, especially Joey Votto, playing cards, “porching” with her neighbors at the BRC, and watching game shows and Judge Judy. She was a member of the Arcanum Faith United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends on Friday January 31, 2025, from 5 pm until 7 pm at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday February 1, 2025, with a viewing an hour before the services at Arcanum Faith United Methodist Church 101 E. South St. Arcanum, Ohio with Pastor Mike Back officiating. Burial to follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.
