Doloris M. Yoder, 92, formerly of Covington, passed away Saturday evening, November 16, 2024, at StoryPoint, Troy. She was born December 8, 1931, in Brookville, to the late John D. and Pauline (Cripe) Garber. She married Omar I. Yoder on August 18, 1951; he preceded her in death on May 13, 2018.
She will be missed and remembered by her daughters, Junell (Mike) Lynch of Covington and Bonita (Kenneth) Rogers of Covington; four grandchildren, Megan (Bronson) Koffer, Josie (Lee) Angle, Tyler Lynch and Jared Rogers; nine great-grandchildren, Banks, Avery, Hollan, Boston, Quincy, Cooper, Braxton, Taylor Jo & Ritter; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Garber of Arcanum. She was preceded in death by three grandsons, Ted Rogers, Travis & Benjamin Lynch; brother, Robert “Bob” Garber; and sister, Bettie (Irving) Jackson.
Mrs. Yoder was a graduate of Lanier High School of West Alexandria. She retired from Milton-Union Public Library after many years of service. She was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church-New Conference, Sugar Grove District. In retirement, Doloris served as a volunteer at Upper Valley Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 23, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 6360 W. Farrington Rd., Covington. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Covington.
