Dorothy Mae (Moore) Baldwin, 96, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
She was born on May 27, 1925, in Winchester, Kentucky, to the late Leslie and Cordelia (Owens) Moore.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, of 60 years, Virgil Baldwin; her sisters, Geneva (Earl) Frost, Lou (Carl) Greek; her brothers, Leslie Clay (Eunice) Moore, and Lonnie (Karen) Moore.
Dorothy moved, with her parents and siblings, from Winchester, Kentucky, to Winchester, Indiana, when she was 16. She graduated from Lynn High School. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband on the farm. She was active in the churches she attended throughout her life and enjoyed many creative activities including painting, decorating, baking, gardening, landscaping, sewing, and hosting dinner parties.
Dorothy is survived by daughters; Diana (John) Brown of Sidney, Ohio, Vonda Baldwin of Greenville; and her son Matthew (Angelia) Baldwin of Nashville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Aaron (Susan) Brown of Liberty Township, Ohio, The Rev. Leslie Burkardt (The Rev. Jay) of Webster, New York, Amy (Andrew) Shaffer of Sidney, Caleb Baldwin of Nashville, and Jadon Baldwin of Nashville. Dorothy is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service, for the immediate family, will be held at their convenience at Fountain Park Cemetery, in Winchester, Indiana with The Rev. Leslie Burkardt officiating.
