Dorothy Marie Randall, age 92 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 12:44 PM Friday January 7, 2022 at the SpringMeade Health Care Center Tipp City, Ohio. Dorothy was born March 22, 1929 in Brookville, Indiana and the daughter of the late Delbert and Sarah (Hale) Ponder Sr.
She retired in 2007 from her janitor’s position at the Darke County Courthouse, a position that had given her the opportunity to meet and develop many friendships over her 38 years of employment. She was also a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Greenville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Glen Raymond Randall in 1959. They were married October 1, 1948. Also her son Mark Randall in 2012, daughter Shirley Thompson in 2015, son-in-law Ronald Thompson, infant sister Helen Ponder and brother Delbert Ponder Jr.
Dorothy is survived by one granddaughter; three great grandchildren; sisters Lulu Knight and Daisy Neeley; brother John Ponder as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday January 13, 2022 in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church 233 West Third Street Greenville, Ohio with Father Matt Feist as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Church Cemetery Greenville, Ohio. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio.
