Earl J. Kriegbaum, 77 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday January 7, 2022 at 6:15 AM at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born March 17, 1944 in Montgomery County, Ohio, the son of the late Earl R. and Bernice (Harvey) Kriegbaum.
Earl retired from Corning Glass in 2002 after 18 years, prior to that he worked for 18 years at Dayton Press formerly McCall Magazine; he also worked as a jailer at the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, worked at GTI and also F & P America.
Earl graduated from Stiver’s High School in 1962; he was a member of Dayton Lodge # 147 F & AM, he was a 10 year advisor for the Creative Critters 4-H Club; and he was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church.
Earl is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Joy J. (Beam) Kriegbaum on February 13, 2003 whom he married June 19, 1976; his brothers: Floyd and Melvin Kriegbaum; and his sisters: Mary Jane Johnson, Dorothy Harvey, and Ethel Ward.
Earl is survived by his daughter: Megan Hernandez of Piqua, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday January 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
