A good old tradition on (Ministers, Children &) Senior citizen’s Day at the fair is recognizing the oldest fairgoer. The honor went to none other than Earlene Morris, a 103-year-old resident of Gordon and great-great-grandmother of 19.
Earlene, who is set to celebrate her 104th birthday this October, has seen a century of change and is a living testament to the enduring spirit of community. Her presence at the fair, surrounded by friends and family, was a joyous occasion.
In recognition of her remarkable age and enduring vitality, Earlene was presented with a $200 check ($100 from the Fair Board, $100 was sponsored by the voice of The Great Darke County Fair, Greg Peck)
