After a year of social distance and virtual communication, Edison State Community College will hold its 2021 Graduation Ceremony in person. The ceremony will take place Friday, August 13, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the gymnasium at the Piqua Campus and will celebrate 2019–2020 and 2020–2021 graduates who have earned a short-term technical certificate, certificate, or degree.
Graduates have faced a number of challenges in completing their education, with abrupt changes being put into place to keep students and the community safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. The upcoming in-person commencement gives graduates the all-important opportunity to celebrate their success as they deserve, walk across the stage, and get that once-in-a-lifetime photo op. The ceremony will also include a student speaker.
The Class of 2021 includes nearly 550 graduates who have earned 800 degrees or certificates, showing how resilient and adaptable these students are. Degrees and certificates cover a wide range of careers, including those in business, engineering and manufacturing, health sciences, information technology, and social and public services.
The perseverance and adaptability the Class of 2021 has shown, along with their degree and/or certificate(s), will set them up for success as they continue their education or move into the workforce. These graduates have proven that anything is possible, no matter the obstacles that must be overcome in achieving their goals.
Tickets are required for graduates and their guests to attend commencement. Guest tickets for family and friends will be limited to four per graduate. Visit www.edisonohio.edu/graduation for more information and to order your tickets.
