Eileen E. Pleiman, age 94 of Osgood, Ohio, died Friday, June 16, 2023, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater. She was born October 15, 1928, in St. Rose, Ohio to the late Aloys & Rose (Bruns) Meier. She married Bernard M. Pleiman on September 16, 1950, in St. Rose Church, St. Rose, Ohio and he preceded her in death on August 1, 1999.
Eileen is survived by children: Kristina Pleiman & Kim Hershberger of Atlanta, GA, and Steve & Sonya Pleiman of Osgood, three grandchildren: Nicholas & Kim Pleiman of St. Henry, Kevin & Amber Pleiman of Maria Stein, and Chelsie & Jeff Moeller of St. Henry, and 10 great grandchildren: Dominic, Blake, Jordan, Makinzie, Grant, Evan, and Alyse Pleiman, Jace, Madison, and Wes Moeller. Also surviving her are siblings and in-laws: Julitta Overman, Velma Hartke, Marilyn Uhlenhake, and Edna Reichert, all of Coldwater, Joan Hummel, St. Henry, Anita & Lester Homan, Maria Stein, Diana & Don Albers, Osgood, Larry & Mary Jane Meier, Maria Stein, Dale & Jane Meier, Versailles, Nick & Marge Meier, Maria Stein, and Mary Lou Broerman & Tim Bergman, Minster.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eileen is preceded in death by a great grandchild, Emmit Pleiman, a sister, Lillian & Arnold Homan, and infant siblings, Marvin and Mary Magdalene Meier, and in-laws; Bernard Overman, Rich Hartke, Ernie Uhlenhake, Lavern Reichert, Donald Hummel, Rich Broerman, Henry Pleiman & his first wife Marie, and his second wife Matilda, Albin & Alma Pleiman, Leonard & Sally Pleiman, Ann & Jim Henry, Corrine & Lester Bornhorst, Norma & Bernard Puthoff, Sylvester & Freida Pleiman, Stella & Gregor Evers, Jerry & Sally Pleiman.
Eileen was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, and the Ladies Sodality at the church. She was a member of the Maria Stein Piecemakers, The Osgood American Legion Auxiliary, and Notre Dame Tabernacle Society (Vestment Sewing). Eileen was a former postmaster for Osgood Post Office and had worked in the office at the former New Idea factory in Coldwater. She loved to sew and spend time with her grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood. Burial will follow at St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, June 23, and from 9 to 9:30 AM on Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
