Emerson W. Hart, age 93 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 9:18 AM Wednesday September 22, 2021 at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center Greenville, Ohio. Emerson was born May 3, 1928 in Darke County Ohio and the son of the late Ralph W. and Opal M. (Kautt) Hart.
He had been employed at Netzley Oil Company from 1951-1984 as a driver, oil burner technician and a product installer.
Emerson with his wife Reba were avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle riders and he always had Reba riding in the sidecar. He experiences his first motorcycle ride at the young age of 16 and his last ride at the age of 91. He and Reba vacationed everywhere on their Harley. He was also a 55-year member of the American Motorcycle Association and was self-employed for 20 years doing lawn maintenance and snow removal all over town.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Reba E. (Warvel) Hart February 9, 2020. They were married June 18, 1955. Also brothers Kenneth Hart, Charles Hart, Sister Marjorie Hathaway, sisters-in-law Corelyn “Sammy” Mygatt and Louree Miller and Brother-in-law Leonard Warvel.
Emerson is survived by his sister Rosella (John) Glessner of Greenville, two sisters-in-law Alice Hart of Greenville and Mary Hart of Englewood, Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday September 27, 2021 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Hershel Fee officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the funeral home.
