Empowering Darke County Youth summer tutoring underway

From Greenville Public Library

While library programming is on hold until 2022, Empowering Darke County Youth has been bringing children back to our building in droves thanks to their summer tutoring program.

The Empowering tutoring program is free to all Darke County students in grades K through 9. This year’s program began on June 21 and will conclude at the end of July.

Tutoring sessions focus on either Language Arts, including grammar and comprehension, or basic math skills. Students attending reading sessions are able to pick out their own books from the library’s collection, while math students enjoy fun and challenging games.

If you missed summer tutoring, but would still like to enroll your child, Empowering offers After School tutoring during the school year at Ansonia, Arcanum-Butler, and Greenville.
