EverHeart Hospice recently completed deliveries of more than fifty blankets to five local cancer associations.
Over 40 years ago, EverHeart was founded by a group of volunteers with a vision to care for community members. Today they continue this legacy. With a core value of being community-focused, EverHeart is always looking for ways to partner with area organizations to show their support.
Jennifer Overholser, Marketing Specialist with EverHeart Hospice, enjoyed assisting with the deliveries and shared,
“I feel it is important to support these organizations as almost everyone has been affected by cancer in some way. Cancer is as much a mental battle as it is a physical one, and we want patients to know they are supported.”
According to the American Cancer Society, 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Deliveries were made to the Auglaize, Darke, Mercer, and Preble County Cancer Associations in Ohio and Cancer Services for Randolph County in Indiana.
EverHeart’s Community Outreach Specialist Megan Stull also helped with the blanket deliveries, sharing,
“It was a true honor delivering the blankets to our local cancer associations. Not only were we able to provide blankets to cancer patients, but we were also able to provide smiles to so many. It’s a true blessing to be able to help our community members in a time of need.”
