Four new dogs are waiting at the Animal Shelter for their fur-ever home

The Darke County Animal Shelter has 4 new dogs available for adoption.

They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.

The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.

Rosie came to us as an owner surrender. We are told Rosie is a 5-year-old female Husky Mix. Rosie’s owner told us that Rosie is good with kids, housebroke and crate trained. Rosie is a very sweet girl who loves treats and attentions! Rosie has shown us she knows how to sit, shake and laydown. Rosie is learning to walks on a leash. Rosie did great for her bath and exam where she weighs in at 60 lbs.

Rosey came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Rosey is a 8-Year-old female Hound Mix. I would describe Rosey as a very sweet girl who just wants all the attention you will give her. Rosey walks well on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Rosey did great for her bath and exam where she weighed in at 29 lbs.

Emmy came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Emmy is a 1-Year-old female Border Collie Mix. Emmy has shown us she knows how to sit, love to play ball and tug-a-war! Emmy is very treat motivated. Emmy is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Emmy did great for her bath and exam where she weighed in at 49lbs

Brooklyn came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of her own. We are told Brooklyn is a 2 1/2-year-old female German Shepherd Mix. Brooklyn’s owner told us that Brooklyn loves kids, housebroke and crate trained. Brooklyn has never been around cats or another dog. Brooklyn is a very loving girl who loves treats and attentions! Brooklyn is learning to walks on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Brooklyn did great for her bath and exam where she weighs in at 67 lbs.
