Franklin Gene Prasuhn age 80, of Greenville passed away at 7:04 pm Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Franklin was born March 14, 1941, in Darke County to the late Frederick C. & Bessie M. (Kerns) Prasuhn. In addition to his parents, Franklin was also preceded in death by his 1st wife, Patricia Elaine (Lindeman) Prasuhn, son, Franklin P. Prasuhn; brother, Virgil Prasuhn; and a sister, Norma May Prasuhn.
Franklin is survived by his wife, Joyce A. (Carroll) Prasuhn; step children, Tammy & Tim Hodges, Lisa & Craig Francis, Susie & Gary Francis and John & Stephanie Baumgardner; granddaughter, Olivia; 12 step grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren and one expected; siblings, Fred & Iris Prasuhn, Duane & Mickey Prasuhn, Ray Prasuhn, Jerry & Nancy Prasuhn and Thelma & Darwin Mangas.
Franklin served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Nu Way Builders in Greenville. Franklin was a member of the Greenville V.F.W. He attended Ginghamsburg Church in Tipp City. Franklin enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and doing word searches. He was loved by many.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Greenville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Franklin’s memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
