PITSBURG-The opening night of the annual Jet Holiday Tournament brought no surprises to anyone.
The opening game of the session watched one of the top teams in the state, Maumee Valley, take down Brookville, 59-41, in a game that was much closer than the final score would indicate.
Brookville had its opponent on the ropes for the majority of the game before running out of gas in the end.
In the nightcap, the host team, Franklin Monroe, dismantled Mississinawa Valley, 71-49.
The Jets were led on the floor by Eric Brenner with a game high 24 points while EB Fall added 14 in support.
Tonight, Mississinawa Valley and Brookville will get things underway in the consolation game starting at six with the title game between the Jets and Maumee Valley to follow 30 minutes later.
