The Hogg Shop and the friends of Graham Guttadore and Lauren Mowen will be holding a fundraiser on Sept. 10, noon to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of Family Dollar/Dollar Tree (you’ll find the event also in our events calendar).
Graham Guttadore and Lauren Mowen were involved in an accident on June 29th. A car pulled out in front of them while riding their motorcycle and the couple t-boned the driver .
Both were seriously injured and CareFlight transported them to Miami Valley Hospital. Fortunately they are getting better every day but their recovery process will be long. They both have had many surgeries and still have several to go.
Neither have been able to go back to work so the Hogg Shop and the friends of the couple would like to come together and help this young couple out, so they can pay their bills and the rent. Since Guttadore had not been long enough at his present job, he is not eligible for disability benefits.
Guttadore is an Arcanum firefighter and the Village of Arcanum, Arcanum Fire, Rescue and Police Departments helped to make this event possible.
At the event will be food, they’ll have raffles, music and more. All proceeds will be donated to Graham and Lauren.
And there will be some more attractions:
Matt Miller and Carl’s Body Shop in Dayton agreed to bring the replica of the 1966 Batmobile to this event (Weather permitting). For all you DC comic fans you will want to check this out! Bring the kids and let them see old school Batman. There is also a rumor that Robin’s Batcycle may make an appearance.
CareFlight will also be coming to the event. They are scheduled to land the bird at 12 o’clock at the beginning of the event. While it is there everyone can take a peek inside and see how these things work.
Chris Lovett and the Hogg Shop are well known for helping out when help is needed – the list of their fundraisers, organizations and projects they supported and still support is long!
