The Greenville Girls golf team traveled to WGC Golf Course on Thursday, September 26th to play in the Division I Sectional.
The Lady Wave placed 13 out of 19 teams. The Wave were led by Vera Cox with an 84, Callee Moore had a 98, and Taylor Trissel and Reese Addington both had 111. Also playing for the Lady Wave was Kennedy Schoen with a 122.
Vera Cox tied for 4th place and had playoff with 2 others to determine who would be going onto to the District tournament. Vera birdied the first playoff hole to win and will be going onto the District tournament. Vera showed a lot of mental toughness coming down the stretch and in the playoff.
The District tournament is October 8th at Pipestone Golf Course.
This was Callee’s last tournament and she will be missed next year.
