The Lady Wave traveled to Pipestone Golf Course to play in the sectional tournament. The Wave were led by Kenna Jenkinson with a 75, Lexi Slade had a 95, Sofia Chrisman had a 108 and Vera Cox had a 110. Also playing was Callee Moore with a 125.
The first four teams and the first four individuals not on one of those teams qualify for districts.
The season ends for the team as we finished 1 shot behind 4th place. The season is not over for Kenna Jenkinson as she was the first qualifier not on one of those teams and will go to districts next Wednesday.
We had a 388 at Sectionals on Thursday. One of the first invitationals we played this year was the Miamisburg Invitational at Pipestone and had a 408. The ability to drop 20 strokes on a difficult golf course in two months shows how hard the girls worked this year.
It is disappointing not going to districts as a team, but I am very proud of the girls and how hard they have worked this year.
