The Lady Wave Tennis Team traveled to Vandalia, Butler last Thursday to take on the Lady Aviators. Although the team played their best match of the season, they were ultimately defeated 5-0.
At 1st Singles Riley Capasso (10) lost to Hannah Faulkner (12), 3-6, 2-6.
At 2nd Singles Maddie Lance (11) was defeated by Ava Petty (9), 3-6, 0-6.
At 3rd Singles, Sienna Gilman (10) fell to Kaitlin Payton (12), 1-6, 1-6.
In doubles action, Greenville’s 1st Doubles Team of Meadow Murphy (10) and Charlie Pope (12) were defeated by Morgan Britton (12) and Olivia Bonifos (10), 5-7, 3-6.
Greenville’s 2nd Doubles Team consisting of Kirsten Horn (10) and Adele Strunks (12) had the closest match of the evening, finishing with a 3-6, 6-7 loss to Ashton Fleming (11) and Elizabeth Koewler (11).
The Lady Wave will be on the road today, Monday Aug 19, with a 4:30 match against St. Mary’s.
