Greenville, OH – The Greenville Business & Professional Women’s (BPW) Club is proud to announce the 2024-2025 Women of the Year! A three-way tie with Sue Huston, Stacy Sykes and Gina Wolfe sharing the honor! The award was announced at the April 10th meeting held at the Chestnut Village Center in Greenville.
BPW President Vicki Cost announced Sue, Stacy and Gina as the winners at the April 10th meeting. When asked why she joined the Club, Stacy said, “After coming to a few BPW’s guest nights I knew this was an organization I wanted to support. I truly enjoy all the ladies in our club along with working hard to raise funds for our annual scholarship that we give away to our local Darke County girls. Listening to all these girls share their stories and compassion for their future is the highlight for me.”
Gina said the honor came as a huge surprise and feels very honored. On joining the Club she answered, “I had always admired the organization and hoped to join one day. However, I worked in Dayton for several years and never felt I had the time. Once I started working in Greenville, I joined the club shortly after. I have always wanted to connect with the community I live in, and BPW fulfilled that desire. I have made great friends within the organization and I love giving back to the community.”
Huston said she wasn’t really interested in joining a club, but happened to see an article in the newspaper, and felt led to call. She spoke with then President Brenda Miller, who invited her to attend the next meeting as her guest and the rest is history. Sue further stated, “I’ve learned that when I have a hunch, a thought, or an inspiration that I should act on it without hesitation, and I am so glad that I made the call!!. From the first meeting, I felt welcomed by the ladies and knew I wanted to be a part of this group. I have made so many friends and connections that have benefitted me both personally and professionally. I believe in our mission of empowering women and raising money to provide college scholarships for young women in Darke County. This is an amazing group of ladies. I am proud to be a member and honored at this recognition. I would encourage anyone who is interested in joining BPW to reach out for more information.”
