‘Greenville, My Hometown’ Is Here

It is on the shelves at Garst Museum, it is being shipped to your delivery address, and it is under the tree just in time for Christmas!

It is Greenville, My Hometown, a book of local sketches by artist Don Mong with narrations by Steve Gruber.  Cherished memories of places in Greenville that we know so well fill the book; each has a special place in our lives.  The illustrations are beautiful watercolor, pen-and-ink images of the park, fair, theaters, eateries, churches, and so many more of our hometown heritage.

Each iconic site holds a special place in our hearts and memories. Your holiday celebration is over, the dishes are done, and now it is time for quiet memories. A cup of tea, a glass of wine, and the Greenville Hometown book create the time for those quiet thoughts. As the first snow of the season will soon be upon us, relive the chills and thrills of the “Sledders on Memorial Hill” as you ease into your favorite chair. Yes, the illustrations rekindle the nostalgic remembrances of our hometown and our personal experiences.  Share stories with your close friends and family members. What a joy!

Popular artist Don Mong, former Greenville resident, will autograph the first 75 copies of Greenville, My Hometown that are purchased in The Museum Store at the Garst Museum.  Ordering from the web store at garstmuseum.org provides convenience without personalization.  Additionally, the Garst Museum Store is offering free shipping to domestic destinations until December 10.
