On September 29th, 2023, at approximately 3:08 PM police observed the listed Ford Ranger traveling eastbound on East Third Street after turning eastbound from Ludlow Street. PO observed that the vehicle failed to display a license plate. After PO had turned around to try and stop the listed vehicle, the vehicle stopped and parked in front of 503 East Third Street. PO observed the male driver and a female passenger, identified as Dawn Wilson, exit from the vehicle and begin walking towards the residence at 503 East Third Street. PO had activated his overhead lights but the male continued to walk away. PO exited his cruiser and advised the male subject to stop and that he was on a traffic stop. The male advised PO to hold on but then took off running southbound through the yard of 503 East Third Street. PO pursued the male subject and advised him to stop and identified himself as the police. The male subject jumped the fence to the residence east of 503 East Third Street. As PO jumped the fence, his pants got caught on the fence which caused the top of one of the fence pieces to break. PO continued to pursue the male subject through the alley until he lost sight of him as he was running through a yard towards East Fourth Street. Other GPD units responded to the area and learned from citizens that the male subject possibly ran back towards East Third Street but units were unable to locate the male subject. PO returned back to his cruiser and the listed vehicle. As he walked up to the vehicle he found that there was a temporary license plate R409784 in the back window that had been covered up by a tarp in the bed of the truck. PO ran the license plate through LEADS/NCIC via GPD dispatch who informed him that the truck returned to Lenvil Persinger who had an active felony warrant for his arrest through the Miami County Sheriff’s Office for Obstruction. PO searched Lenvil’s BMV image as well as his Facebook account and confirmed that he was the subject that ran from him. Police attempted to make contact with Dawn at his apartment at 503 East Third Street Apt. #2 but they were unable to get an answer. It was also found through LEADS/NCIC that Lenvil’s Ohio Drivers License was under a Non-Compliance Suspension from 09/08/2023 to Indefinite. The next available tow company was called to tow the listed vehicle and Hot Rods Towing responded. Photos were taken of the listed vehicle. Citations for Driving Under Suspension, Failure to display, and Obstructing Official Business will be served to Lenvil when he is located.

As Christopher continued running into the rear parking lot of the Double M Diner in the 100 block of East Fifth Street, Christopher ran into a parked vehicle and began to stumble and slowed down. To keep Christopher from continuing to flee, PO deployed his taser which both probes struck Christopher which caused him to fall into a parked car and then onto the ground. Once on the ground, the other PO arrived and Christopher was taken into custody and placed into handcuffs. Christopher received a laceration to the head due to his fall.
