Shoplifting
On November 1st, 2023, at approximately 5:41 p.m. police was dispatched to 1323 Wagner Avenue, Hibbett Sports. The complainant advised that a female, in red coat, just came into the store and stole two pairs of shoes. The shoes were described as red and white tennis shoes and also a separate pink shoe. The complainant advised that the female left the store and traveled south then east. P.O. searched the area and located a female matching that description at Ms. Bubbles Laundromat, 1323 Wagner Avenue. The female was sitting at a table inside with her head down. She also had a black bag next to her with a new pink Nike Tennis shoe sticking out of the top. P.O. made contact with the female and asked her for identification. The female identified herself as Jessica Jillson. Jessica was wearing a thick red winter coat. P.O. asked Jessica about the shoes and she originally stated she got them from the lost and found bin. The shoes appeared to be brand new so P.O. asked her again where she got the shoes. Jessica admitted that she took both sets of shoes from Hibbett Sports store. Jessica admitted to taking the shoes without paying. One pair was a Red/White pair of Mike Jordan Tennis shoes, $100. The other pair was Pink Nike Dunk tennis shoes, $90. Total value was $190. The shoes were returned to Hibbett Sports. P.O. also spoke with an employee/witness, Mark Kohlhorst. Mark filled out a victims rights form and statement form. The statement form stated that Jessica entered into the store and told them her name was Jessica. She asked to see several pairs of shoes at once but due to policy they only let her have two pairs at a time. While the employee was working with another customer, Jessica took off with the pair shoes. Jessica was cited for theft.
Wanted Person/Fugitive from Justice
On November 3rd 2023 at 8:06 AM, police was dispatched to 416 Martin Street, Kathy’s Restaurant in reference to a disorderly male subject. Police made contact with restaurant staff who advised that the male subject, later identified as Josiah Randall was passing in and out while in the restaurant. Staff advised that they wanted Josiah to leave for the day. Josiah who was alert, advised that he was fine, and did not want medical treatment left the property. Shortly after Josiah was sent on his way, Darke County Probation Office contacted GPD advising they had issued a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was for probation violation with original charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine with no bond. Police made contact with Josiah at 209 Green Street where he was arrested and placed in handcuffs. Josiah was transported to Darke County Courts where P.O. was given the warrant in hand from Tom Fourman with Darke County Probation for Josiah. Upon arrival at the Jail with Josiah, Jail staff advised they would not accept Josiah as an inmate due to him passing in and out. P.O. contacted a Sgt. who advised to take Josiah to Wayne Hospital and he would call Darke County Probation. Darke County probation advised that they were lifting the warrant due to Darke County Jail not accepting him. Darke County Probation advised to no longer hold Josiah and to tell him to follow up with Probation when he is finished at Wayne. Josiah was transported to Wayne Healthcare where he was released from custody and placed into the care of Wayne Healthcare. Josiah was also advised to contact Darke County Probation.
Domestic violence
On November 3rd 2023 at 9:48 hours police was dispatched to 619 East Main Street in reference to a domestic dispute. BCI only between Rachel Prowant and her 14 year old son. Rachel and her son reside together at 619 East Main Street. The son refused to go to school and was being unruly. Rachel disciplined him, causing an argument between the two subjects. The son was taken to Greenville k-8 school by a P. 0. Child Protective Services responded to scene in reference to living conditions. One other school age child was present during this incident. The child attends Greenville K-8 Public Schools.
Assault
On November 3, 2023 at approximately 6:22 hours, police responded to 121 Green Street reference an assault that occurred elsewhere in the City of Greenville. PO made contact with the victim, Dylan Julian. Dylan advised that prior to the police’s arrival, his uncle, Glen Julian, was at his house raking leaves for him. Dylan stated that Glen was almost done, but stated that he was not going to finish the job. Dylan stated that he told him he would not pay him until the job was done. Dylan stated that Glen became upset, and began yelling at him. Dylan stated that Glen then went to the back of the house and broke a screen door that was in the backyard. Dylan stated that Glen then left and went back to his house at 310 Tiffin Street. Dylan stated that he then drove to 310 Tiffin Street to talk Glen about the door. Dylan stated that when he pulled up, Glen began punching the window of the truck, and opened the drivers side door. Dylan stated that Glen then put him in a head lock while he was still in the truck and bit him on the left ear. Dylan stated that Glen then pulled him out of the truck, and they were wrestling on the ground. Dylan stated that while he was trying to get Glen off of him, Glen’s girlfriend, Tricia Henninger, began kicking him in the neck and the back. Dylan stated that he was able to get Glen off of him before leaving. Dylan’s left ear was actively bleeding, and he had blood dripping onto his shirt. Dylan also had several scratches and cuts on his back. Photos were taken of the injuries. Dylan was then transported to Wayne Hospital by Greenville Rescue to be treated. Dylan also filled out a statement and a victims rights form. PO then spoke to Glen and Tricia. Glen stated that he was in an argument with Dylan at 121 Green Street because Dylan did not pay him for the work. Glen stated that when he got back to 310 Tiffin St, Dylan pulled up in his truck and tried to hit him. Glen said that they then got into a fight in the front yard, but Tricia was not involved. Tricia stated that same. Glen had a scratch on the top of his head. Neither subject wanted to fill out a statement. Glen and Tricia were issued citations for Assault and advised of their court dates.
Domestic violence
On 11/06/23 at approximately 11:32 PM, GPD responded to 609 Walnut St. #14 on a report of a domestic disturbance. PO met Dustin Kendrick outside of apartment #14. Kendrick was highly agitated and yelling through a window at Danielle Elliott who also lived at apartment #14. Kendrick explained that he found out Elliott had been with several other men while he was in jail. PO was able to get Kendrick to calm down and he agreed to go stay with his cousin, Devon Bumgardner, for the night. PO later learned that Kendrick told another PO that Elliott had pepper sprayed him during the dispute. A juvenile was present with an unknown friend but had left prior to the police’s arrival. Disorderly conduct
On November 8th, 2023, at approximately 9:36 PM police was dispatched to 411 Armstrong Street. This was in reference to a trespass complaint. The complainant, Heather Bragg, advised that someone had been on her porch multiple times. Heather thought it may have been her duplex neighbor, Barry Robertson. PO spoke to Heather who advised he wanted Barry trespassed from her property. Police made contact with Barry. Barry was extremely belligerent and would not listen to what police had to say. Barry was cursing and yelling loudly on his front porch. Finally police was able to explain to Barry that he was being trespassed from 411 Armstrong Street. While on scene Barry continued to exit his residence yelling and cursing very loudly. Barry was also outside kicking his vehicles causing big dents in the sides of the vehicle. While speaking to Barry PO could smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. Barry was warned for Disorderly conduct at 9:48 PM. While police was on scene PO observed neighbors on their porch at 411 & 412 Armstrong. PO advised both subjects that if Barry continued his behavior and they wanted to fill out a statement to please call back. At that time officers left the scene. At approximately 10:40 PM another complainant, Nathaniel Cave, called advising that Barry was outside again being disorderly. Officers arrived on scene to speak with Nathaniel. Nathaniel advised after officers left Barry came back outside being extremally loud and cursing which woke up his kids who have school in the morning. Nathaniel completed a statement and victim’s rights form advising the behavior created annoyance, alarm, and inconvenience. PO then spoke with the first complainant, Heather Bragg, who also advised she would fill out a victims rights form and statement form. Heather advised the same, that the noise woke her school age children who have school in the morning. Heather also advised the behavior cause her annoyance, alarm, and inconvenience. While speaking with both victims Barry exited his residence and started yelling again. Police advised Barry that he had been warned several times tonight to stop the disorderly behavior. Barry was arrested and mirandized. Barry admitted to drinking tonight and his behavior showed he was intoxicated by slurred speech and blood shot eyes. Barry was transported to the jail and released to staff. Barry was cited for M4 Disorderly reference his persistent behavior. Barry was also cited for Nuisance Abatement reference he was served with one on March 20th, 2023. Barry also has two prior convictions for Nuisance Abatement since he was served. This charge is a Ml.
