Domestic Violence

On 11/19/23 at approximately 6:27 hours, the Greenville Police Department was dispatched to 609 Walnut St. #14 Greenville, OH on a report of a domestic disturbance. Michael Johnson from apartment #15 called and advised of the disturbance. Police could hear a verbal altercation between Dustin Kendrick and his live-in girlfriend, Danniel Elliott. Elliott has been in a relationship and cohabitating as a spouse with Kendrick since approximately June 15, 2023. Upon further investigation, Elliott was found to have a bruised eye that she stated was caused by Kendrick on 11/18/23 when he slapped her during an argument. Elliott stated she did not have a phone to call the police because Kendrick took it from her. On today’s date, Elliott stated Kendrick had been being aggressive while arguing and punched a dresser that she was standing beside and, in the process, his forearm struck her in the hip. Photographs were obtained of Elliott’s bruised eye and submitted with this report. Due to Elliott’s visible injury and her verbal and written statements, Dustin Kendrick was arrested at 6:55 PM for knowingly causing physical harm to a family or household member. When checking Kendrick’s criminal record, PO saw that he had three ( 3) prior domestic violence convictions in Darke Co. Courts in cases ll-CRB-001-1021, 18CR00248, and 20CR00145. A PO transported Kendrick to the Darke Co. Jail without further incident. Elliott was provided her victim’s rights form and signed for it. Elliott’s 16 y/o son was present during the incidences.

Theft

On November 19, 2023 at approximately 8:15 PM policeresponded to 1245 Holly Hill Drive reference a theft that occurred elsewhere in the City of Greenville. PO made contact with the victim, Scott Stastny. Scott stated that he had a teal and silver Tapco Metal Brake stolen from his rental property at 712 Gray Avenue. Scott stated that the last time that he saw the metal brake was on 11/18 at approximately 6 PM. Scott stated that he kept the metal brake in the garage at the residence and he was currently contracting with Maradiaga Marlon to do the siding on the house. Scott stated that he believed the company name is Marlon Roofing and Siding and stated that they were based out of Hamilton, Ohio. Scott stated that they had not finished the job but wanted payment. Scott stated the told Marlon to finish the work and he would pay them. Scott stated that Marlon stated that if he did not pay, that he was going to have his guys steal Scott’s tools. Scott stated that on today’s date he went to the house and noticed the metal brake was missing. Scott stated that the only identifying mark on the tool, is orange paint that is on the handle, and the back of one of the legs. Scott does not have a serial number. Scott filled out a written statement and victim’s rights form. Scott also provided pictures of the metal brake. Scott also stated that he got on Marlon’s facebook page and saw that he posted a metal brake for sale that looks identical to his and has paint in the same spots as where his did. Scott provided pictures of the facebook post as well as messages between him and Marlon. Scott also stated that Marlon provided him with an address of 3134 Dixie Highway, Hamilton Ohio. Scott also stated that Marlon drives a white truck with a bed liner in the back. After checking LEADS PO was able to identify Marlon Maradiga-Ramirez as a possible suspect. Dispatch called Hamilton Police Department and asked them to check 3134 Dixie Highway for Marlon and the stolen property. Hamilton PD responded to the listed address and located the Metal Brake along the outside of the building. Hamilton PD seized property as evidence. There is no video from 712 Gray Avenue and no neighbors witnessed this incident. This case will be sent to Hamilton Police Department reference Receiving Stolen Property Charges.

Domestic Violence

On November 20th, 2023 at approximately 3:03 PM police was dispatched to 1199 East Russ Road Apartment B7 in reference to a Domestic Violence. PO made contact with Camilla Spencer and her grandson who reside together. The grandson advised he was in a verbal argument with Camilla because he called her trash. Camilla advised the argument was over her grandson calling her names. The grandson left the residence. No school aged children were present. This report is for BCI only.

Domestic Violence

On 11/20/23 at 4:04 PM, GPD was dispatched to 1184 Donald Dr. on a domestic disturbance. Once police was on scene, they spoke with Brad Smith who was very agitated and aggressive. Smith was detained due to his erratic and unpredictable behavior. Once he was detained, a PO went to the garage and spoke with Smith’s grandmother, Betty Ryan, and cousin, Inas Humerick. Ryan stated Smith has resided with her for approximately one year and he has mental health issues. PO also learned that Smith is supposed to take medication for those issues but smokes marijuana instead. On today’s date, Smith was acting out and verbally harassing them. Ryan stated that Smith threatened to punch her and raised his fists at her and Humerick stated he threatened to push her down. Both stated they were in fear of being harmed by Smith because of his anger and they believed that he was going to cause them harm. Smith was arrested and transported to the Darke Co. Jail without further incident.

Welfare Check

On 11/21/23 at approximately 4:15 hours, GPD was dispatched to 323 Morrow St. on a welfare check. Brittany Shiverdecker, a coworker of Cristian Warner, contacted GPD requesting a welfare check on Warner after finding a suicide note at Fram where they both work. Police made contact with Warner at his house located at 323 Morrow St. Warner stated he did write the letter and was upset over his girlfriend breaking up with him. Warner stated he had suicidal feelings this morning but, after writing the letter, he felt better and no longer had those feelings. Warner stated he had similar feelings earlier this year after his grandfather passed away and he was hospitalized for an evaluation at that time. He stated he was prescribed medication but it didn’t work and he currently is not on medication. Due to Warner’s statements and the letter, he agreed to voluntarily go to Wayne Healthcare for an evaluation and PO transported him there. The letter was brought to GPD and will be attached to this report. A copy of the letter was made and turned over to the nursing staff at Wayne ER.

Domestic Violence

On 11/21/23 at 7:25 PM, GPD was dispatched to 140 Thirteenth St. on a domestic dispute. Police met with husband, Mark Clement, outside. He stated his wife, Courtney Clement, was highly intoxicated and she got mad at him because he hid the vodka from her. He stated he tried to go outside to smoke and Courtney sat in front of the door and would not move. Mark escorted police into the kitchen where Courtney was sitting in a chair highly intoxicated. Mark stated Courtney had approximately 10 shots of vodka and he had 4-5 shots. Courtney stated she was upset because Mark would not tell her where he hid the vodka, even though she didn’t want anymore to drink. Mark refused to tell her and also refused to dump it out to eliminate the issue. Courtney agreed to go to bed for the night and Mark agreed to leave her alone. Both parties remained at the residence. 3 school age children were present.

Welfare Check

On 11/21/23 at 8:46 PM, GPD was dispatched to 730 Hiddeson Ave. for a welfare check. Dispatch received a call from Emma Wagner. Emma is sisters with Lilly Gerace and Brianna Gerace. Emma received a call from Lilly stating that she had been talking to Brianna on the phone and Brianna told her that she wanted to end it all and kill herself. Lilly became concerned when she could not get into contact with Brianna. Brianna was said to be living at 730 Hiddeson Ave. PO saw Brianna sitting on the front porch talking with a friend. While speaking with Brianna, she told PO that those statements were true and she did say them. Brianna stated she has never sought professional help because she could not afford it. Brianna agreed to go to Wayne Healthcare voluntarily for a mental evaluation but only if PO transported her and not rescue. PO transported Brianna to Wayne Healthcare. While at the hospital, Brianna stated that she tried suicide in the past by taking pills when she was 16 years old. Brianna stated she is currently going through a separation and that is the reason why she is feeling this way. When asked how she would commit suicide now, she stated by crashing her car. Brianna was released to hospital staff for an evaluation.
