Vandalism

On December 20th, 2024, at approximately 7:04 AM police was dispatched to 122 West Main Street (Greenville Police Department) Greenville, Ohio 45331 in reference to a report of vandalism. PO spoke with Furman Kiser (the victim). Furman stated that sometime between 7 P. M. on December 19th, 2024, and 7 A. M. on December 20th, 2024, someone broke his window at his residence located at 722 Hiddeson Street Greenville, Ohio 45331. Furman advised he was not sure who could have done it. PO advised Furman he would meet him at his residence to take photos of the window. PO arrived at Furman’s residence and observed a window in the front of the residence with a hole that appeared to be broken from outside of the residence due to the storm window mesh being bent inwards towards the residence. PO also observed a few large cracks extending to the edge of the window from the hole in the center. PO photographed the window which will be attached to this report. PO searched the area for any surveillance cameras that would have captured someone breaking Furman’s window but was unable to locate any. Furman filled out a statement and victim’s rights form. Furman also provided a tan rock approximately the size of the palm of PO’s hand. Furman stated he believes the rock is what was used to break his window. At this time there are no leads as to who may have broken Furman’s window.

Wanted Person

On December 22nd, 2024, at approximately 7AM, officers arrived at 404 Wildrose Ln, Greenville, Oh in attempt to locate Scott Wilt. Scott had a felony Darke county probation warrant, original charge-possession of dangerous drugs, no bond. PO knocked on the front door of the residence, which was answered by Scott’s 18-year-old son. PO asked him if Scott was home and if the officers could talk to him, he answered with yes, I’ll go get him. Once Scott was in the doorway, PO was able to visually ID him. PO informed Scott he had a warrant and that he would be getting arrested. PO allowed Scott to put his shoes on and grab his phone before placing him under arrest. Once Scott had his items, PO placed him under arrest and in handcuffs. A Sgt. also confirmed it was Scott through his social, which dispatch confirmed through LEADS. PO searched Scott before placing him into the cruiser with nothing found, he was then transported to the Darke County Jail and released to jail staff. The cruiser was checked before and after transport with nothing located.

Domestic (not in progress)

On December 22, 2024 at approximately 11:17 AM police was dispatched to 300 Surrey Lane in reference to a domestic not in progress complaint. PO made contact with the complainant/victim, Sydney Violet. Sydney stated she got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend, Jordan Thomas, about past events in their relationship. It was later learned Sydney and Jordan have been separated from approximately 3 months. Sydney advised during the argument, Jordan pushed her then slapped her on the left side of her face with an open hand. PO observed redness to Sydney’s left cheek. Sydney stated she then pushed Jordan out of her residence and he left. Sydney advised Jordan does not have any place to stay other than at his grandparents’ house, 275 West Wayne Street, New Madison, Ohio 45346. Sydney stated Jordan does not currently live with her but resided with her approximately 3 months ago. Sydney advised she has one child in common with Jordan, who stays with her. Pictures were taken of Sydney’s injury and will be attached to this report. Sydney was given a statement form and a victim rights form which were completed and returned back to the PO. Deputies from Darke County Sheriff’s Office made contact with Jordan at 275 West Wayne Street. Deputies advised me that Jordan stated to them that he slapped Sydney with an open hand after an argument. Deputies placed Jordan under arrest and transported him to the Darke County Jail without incident. PO spoke with Jordan at the Darke County Jail. Jordan advised he did not wish to complete a statement form on the incident. Jordan is incarcerated for domestic violence and was issued a citation for Domestic Violence and advised of his mandatory court date. Jordan’s CCH show no prior convictions for Domestic Violence.

Drugs

On December 22nd, 2024, at approximately 8:29 hours police was dispatched to the area of 424 Gray Avenue in reference to Josiah Randall knocking on James Marlow’s front door. Josiah has a felony warrant out of Montgomery County for dangerous drugs. Prior to the arrival on Gray Avenue a PO observed Josiah walking north bound in an alley near the 300 block of Martin Street. PO exited his cruiser and advised Josiah to come to him. He placed Josiah in handcuffs and advised him of his Miranda Warning. Dispatch confirmed the warrant through LEADS/NCIC. PO conducted a search incident of arrest of Josiah’s clothing. PO located what appeared to be a methamphetamine pipe and a small clear bag containing a white crystal like substance in his front left pocket. PO asked Josiah what the crystal substance was and he advised it is Methamphetamine. Josiah also advised the pipe is a Methamphetamine pipe. The pipe did have burn marks and possible residue inside of the bulb. Josiah was transported to the Darke County Jail and was released to jail staff. PO checked the back seat of his cruiser before and after the transport and located nothing. The bag containing the white crystal like substance was placed into property and will be sent to BCI for analysis. The Methamphetamine pipe was placed into evidence at the Greenville Police Department.

Wanted Person

On December 26, 2024 at approximately 12:09 PM police was dispatched to 835 Sweitzer Street; Wayne hospital, in reference to a subject with an active warrant. Prior to his arrival, PO was notified Tyler Houston was being discharged from the hospital and has an active arrest warrant through Darke County Adult Probation. PO made contact with Wayne Hospital staff who advised Tyler has been discharged, but has not left the emergency room yet. While walking to the room Tyler was being treated in, PO observed Tyler walking from the room into the hallway. PO advised Tyler to turn around and place his hands behind his back to which he complied. Tyler was placed in handcuffs. PO advised Tyler at this time of the active probation violation warrant. Tyler was searched incident to arrest with nothing being located. Tyler was transported to the Darke County Jail and incarcerated on the active warrant with no incident. The back of the cruiser was checked before and after transport with nothing located.
