Domestic
On July 16, 2024, at approximately 12:11 PM police responded to 112 Winchester Avenue reference a domestic dispute. PO spoke to Ralph Mccreery and Marty Asbury in the front yard. Both Ralph and Marty stated that Ralph had been in a verbal argument with his son, and Marty’s brother, Joseph Mccreery, over leaving for a birthday party. Ralph and Marty stated that Joseph began pushing the chair that Ralph was sitting in. Marty stated that she attempted to step between Joseph and Ralph to separate them. Marty stated that Joseph continued to push through her, so she slapped him in the face to defend her father. Ralph stated the same. Marty filled out a written statement. PO then spoke to Joseph, and his girlfriend, Samantha Day inside. Joseph stated that he was in a verbal argument with his dad, Ralph, over leaving for a birthday party. Joseph stated while they were arguing, his sister, Marty, slapped him in the face, and that is when he pushed the chair that Ralph was sitting in. Joseph filled out a written statement. No party had any visible injuries, and nobody requested medical treatment. Due to conflicting stories and lack of injuries, there will be no charges in this case. All parties stayed at the residence together. Ralph and Joseph live together, Marty does not live at 112 Winchester Avenue. BCI only.
Theft (not in progress)
On July 16, 2024 at approximately 2:17 PM police responded to 122 West Main Street; Greenville Police Department, reference a theft that occurred elsewhere in the City. PO spoke to the complainant, Stephany Stephenson. Stephany stated that she works for MPA Services and is a caretaker for the victim, Mark Van De Pitte. Stephany stated that Mark is non verbal, is on a feeding tube, and requires 24/7 care at his residence; 1370 Benden Way, apartment Al5. Stephany stated that while she was going through his recent bank records she noticed a mobile transaction from McDonald’s on 6/29/24 for $32.09. Stephany stated that MPA Services is Mark’s payee and is responsible for his finances. Stephany stated that she could not find a receipt for the transaction, which they are required to keep. Stephany also said that Mark is not able to eat McDonald’s due to his tube, and that nobody was authorized to make this transaction. Stephany also stated that the only other employee taking care of Mark on 6/29 was Stacy Smith. Stephanie filled out a written statement and victims rights form on Mark’s behalf. PO then made contact with Karlie Kirkendall, who is the payee for Mark and also works at MPA services. Karlie was able to provide a copy of the fraudulent transaction. Karlie also did not know who made the purchase. PO was unable to make contact with Stacy, and also unable to speak to Mark due to him being non-verbal. The bank receipt will be attached to this report. This case will need further investigation.
Domestic
On July 16th, 2024, at approximately 9:07 PM police was dispatched to 112 Winchester Avenue in reference to a domestic dispute. BCI only between Joseph and Ralph Mccreery. Ralph is the father to Joseph who reside together at 112 Winchester Avenue. Ralph and Joseph were in a verbal argument over an earlier incident that occurred today. Both Ralph and Joseph had minor to no visible injuries. Both parties where inconsistent about how the other received the injuries. Due to conflicting stories there will be no charges. Ralph left to stay with his daughter for the night. No school age children were present during this incident.
Drugs
On July 17, 2024, at approximately 9:55 AM police responded to the 200 block of East Fifth Street on a drug complaint. PO made contact with the complainant Stoney Dynes. Stoney stated he found a bag of suspected methamphetamine in the alley behind the 200 block of East Fifth. PO observed the bag to contain an unknown crystal-like substance with the appearance of methamphetamine. The unknown substance was placed into property at the Greenville Police Department for destruction. At this time, it is unknown who the substance belongs to and there are no cameras in the area it was found. Nothing further.
Wanted Person/Fugitive from Justice
On July 17, 2024, at approximately 11:38 AM police responded to 209 East Main Street; Towne House Motel, to serve a misdemeanor warrant for Jeffery Franklin. PO made contact with Jeffery in room 105. PO had prior knowledge that Jeffery had a misdemeanor warrant through the Miami County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a traffic offense. Dispatch confirmed the warrant and Jeffery was placed under arrest and into handcuffs. PO transported Jeffery to the intersection of State Route 36 and State Route 721 where he was released to a Miami County Sheriff’s Deputy.
