When police got behind the vehicle, it turned into the Maid-Rite parking lot on North Broadway. The PO checked the vehicle’s registration through LEADS/NCIC and learned the vehicle’s registration expired on 08/14/2023. The PO observed the vehicle exit the Maid Rite parking lot through the northern exit before making a right turn onto North Main Street. The PO observed the vehicle fail to use a turn signal while making a right turn onto Wayne Street. Police initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver. The PO observed a white female in the front passenger seat, and a white male in the backseat. The driver stated he didn’t have his driver’s license with him, and that his name is “David Atkinson” and that police can “check him”. The PO observed a purple Crown Royal bag in David’s sweater pocket. The PO then asked David to exit the vehicle, and David immediately put the vehicle into drive and began fleeing from the police. The PO activated the emergency siren and initiated a pursuit of the vehicle. David left the city’s limits and began traveling westbound on State Route 571 West at approximately 50MPH. David crossed the center line of the road and began traveling on the wrong side of the road by the Greenville Cemetery, causing three pedestrian vehicles to have to go into the grass and on the roadside to avoid being struck head-on by David’s vehicle. David accelerated to approximately 66MPH and crossed the center line again, causing another vehicle to have to travel onto the roadside to avoid being struck near the intersection of State Route 571 West and Daly Road. Upon reaching the intersection of State Route 571 West and Seiler Road, David swerved while crossing the centerline again, causing two more vehicles to have to swerve onto the roadside to avoid being struck. David traveled on the wrong side of the road from the intersection of State Route 571 West and Woodlane Road, to the intersection of State Route 571 West and Arnold Road, causing several more vehicles to travel off of the roadway to avoid being struck. Due to having identified David, having the license plate of the vehicle and David’s reckless driving, the PO terminated the pursuit at the intersection of State Route 571 West and Arnold Road, and David continued westbound on State Route 571 West. The PO then checked LEADS/NCIC and learned David has an active Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office felony warrant on a dangerous drugs offense with no bond. DUI

On August 19, 2023 around 12:48 AM police was dispatched to the Rural King parking lot, 695 Wagner Ave, in reference to a motorcycle wreck that took place there. The PO made contact with the complainant, Rileigh Norton. Rileigh informed police she was watching the listed vehicle, a black 2004 Honda Motorcycle, traveling westbound on E Russ Rd near the 1100 block. The listed motorcycle was being driven by a medium set 5’8″ white male with short hair. The motorcycle made a left hand turn from E Russ Rd into the parking lot of Rural King. The driver made a wide turn and struck some farm equipment that was on display on the North side of the building. The driver was picked up shortly after by a male and a female in a black SUV and left the area without reporting the accident. Rileigh left the area and the PO approached the motorcycle that was standing near the lawn equipment. The PO noticed a large dent on the right side of the gas tank and noticed the pegs were bent. The PO ran the license plate on the motorcycle (KOZ32) and it returned to Izaiah Parkman. The license plates on the vehicle did not match the motorcycle so the PO ran the vin. The vin was found to have no registered owner or title match to it. The PO noticed there was a King Kutter 6′ yard rake that had been scratched from where the motorcycle had struck it. The PO attempted to make contact with Izaiah to question him about the accident. While waiting to make contact the PO was approached by Austin Parkman. Austin informed police he was at Sloopy’s Bar and is generally the primary driver of the motorcycle. Austin told police someone must have taken from the bar without his permission. When asked, Austin told police it was the suspect, Colton Fuller. Austin lives with Colton and he stated he must have taken the keys to the motorcycle sometime recently. The PO was told the motorcycle belongs to Izaiah. After being unable to make contact with Izaiah, the PO told Austin to have him contact police if he wanted to charge Colton with stealing the motorcycle. Austin said he was going to contact Colton over the phone and asked him about the accident. Austin allowed the PO to listen in on the conversation he had with Colton. When he was able to reach Colton over the phone, Austin asked where were the keys to his bike. Colton can be heard saying they were in his pocket. Austin asked what happened? Colton said he tried to turn into Rural King parking lot to turn around and when he did he took the turn wide and hit his right knee on some farm equipment causing a bad injury to his leg and face. Colton stated he would have brought the bike back but he couldn’t move the bike. Colton was picked up by a guy named “Nate” and transported back to 746 Martin St where he resides. With the report of Colton’s injuries the PO went to 746 Martin St to speak with Colton about the accident and check for injuries. When police arrived the PO was told Colton was no longer there and had fled. Approximately 20 minutes later dispatch received a call advising that Colton had returned to the residence and needed medical aid. The PO responded back to 746 Marin St where he located Colton. Colton had a cut on his nose, eyebrow, and and a large hole taken out of his right knee cap area. Colton had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage around his person and glassy, bloodshot eyes. Colton agreed to go to the hospital with Greenville Township Rescue Squad. The PO followed Squad to the hospital where he asked if Colton would be willing to perform a field sobriety test. Colton agreed. Given Colton’s physical state the PO elected only to perform the eye nystagmus test, which he performed poorly on. The PO was able to get all 6 clues when performing the test. Colton told police he had drank 6 beers prior to the accident. Colton also admitted to crashing the motorcycle after he had turned into the Rural King parking lot. Colton told police multiple times he just took the turn too wide. Colton was read and shown the BMV2255 form and asked if he would submit to a blood analysis test. Colton agreed to the test and signed the BMV2255 form. A phlebotomist at the hospital drew the blood and it was taken as property. Colton was issued a citation for OVI and operating a motorcycle without an endorsement. Colton was left in the hospitals care. The blood was taken back to the Greenville PD where it was placed into property along with cruiser video from patrol car 1931. The blood will be sent to the Miami Valley Regional Crime lab for further analysis. The PO contacted Rural King and notified them of the damage to their yard rake.
