Death
On August 31, 2023 at approximately 9:26 AM police responded to 96 South Ohio Street reference an unresponsive female subject. PO arrived to the scene with Greenville Rescue and Darke County Coroner’s Investigator Joseph Vanvickle. The female subject was pronounced deceased and released to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home.
Wanted Person/Fugitive from Justice
On 09/11/23 at approximately 10:55 PM police was on patrol in the Walmart parking lot at 1501 Wagner Ave. when the PO observed a vehicle that he knew to be driven by Erik Drzewiecki and his girlfriend, Rachel Scott. The PO had prior information that both subjects had arrest warrants for their arrest from Miami Co. Ohio Sheriff’s Office. PO confirmed the registration belonged to James Donnelly who is deceased and had dispatch confirm that the warrants were still entered which they were. PO maintained surveillance of the vehicle while other POs responded. Upon their arrival, Drzewiecki and Scott exited the Walmart store and police approached them at the vehicle. Both were arrested and their warrants were confirmed by Miami Co. S.0. Police transported Scott and Drzewiecki to the Miami County line on US 36 E where Drzewiecki was released to Miami Co. S. 0. and Scott was released to Piqua P.D. without incident. Drzewiecki’s warrant was for probation violation for OVI – no bond and Scott’s warrant was for unauthorized use of a vehicle – no bond. PO stayed with the vehicle until Drzewiecki’s mother responded to take control of their 2 dogs and then had the van towed by Saunder’s Towing.
Domestic Violence
On September 15, 2023 around 4:57 AM police was dispatched to a verbal domestic dispute that was occurring in the 500 Block of Wayne Ave. PO located Cheyenne Howard sitting in a vehicle where the incident occurred. Cheyenne was very short with officers but denied any argument or fight. She advised items had fallen out of the back of her car. PO then noticed Dalton Dowler walking around inside the residence at 516 Wayne Ave. Dalton advised he was outside with Cheyenne but denied arguing or fighting. BCI only, no school aged children present.
Theft
On September 15, 2023 at approximately 6:18 PM police responded to 1375 Wagner Avenue, Belle Fiole Tanning in reference to a theft. PO made contact with employees Alaina Blackburn and Nathan Bowen. Both subjects stated that Jessica Jillson came into the store. Both subjects stated Jessica came in and out of the store several times without speaking to them. Both subjects stated that Jessica then came back inside and went back to room 10, which she rented to tan. Alaina stated that while Jessica was there, she went to check another customer out and noticed that the company Ipad was missing from the front desk. Alaina then called her mother, Jenny Blackburn, who owns the store. Jenny was able to ping the Ipad, and when she did they could hear a loud pinging sound coming from inside the room that Jessica was in. Jessica was confronted and stated that her mother was calling her and that is the sound they were hearing. Both subjects stated that Jessica then left after her session was over and they could not locate the Ipad. Both subjects filled out written statements and a victims rights form. PO then spoke to Jenny over the phone. Jenny stated that the Ipad had since been turned off, so she was unable to ping the location but stated as soon as it got turned on it would send her a notification. Jessica also stated that the serial number for the stolen Ipad was H97DN3HlQlGC. PO then responded to 1199 East Russ Road C2, to speak to Jessica. 2 POs made contact with Jessica at the front door. PO told Jessica my reason for being there and she invited the POs inside to talk. PO then asked Jessica if police could look around, and she stated “yes, I will show you around”. Jessica first took police to her bedroom. PO asked Jessica if she had any tablets. She stated she had a government issued tablet. PO then asked Jessica if he could search her purse, which she stated yes. PO then observed a brown and red purse sitting in the front room that matched one that she had been using during a separate incident on the same day. PO looked into the purse which was open and observed an Ipad that matched the description of the stolen Ipad. PO then looked on the back of the Ipad and verified the serial number, as well as in the settings on the Ipad and verified that it was the stolen Ipad. PO then read Jessica her Miranda Warning which she stated that she understood. Jessica at first stated that it was her government issued Ipad, but then admitted that she took it from behind the counter at the tanning salon. Jessica was placed under arrest into handcuffs. Jessica was then transported to the Darke County Jail where she was released to Jail Staff. Jessica was issued a citation for theft and advised of her court date. The Ipad was placed into property at the Greenville Police Department for safe keeping.
Domestic Violence
On September 15th 2023 at 10:06 PM police was dispatched to 736 Hiddeson Avenue in reference to an assault. Prior to the police’s arrival the complainant advised dispatch that this was occurring in the front yard of 736 Hiddeson Avenue between a black male subject and a black female subject. The complainant advised the male subject just pushed down the female. PO heard a female subject inside the residence say “get off me you’re hurting me”. PO knocked on the front door announcing the police’s presence. When knocking the female subject quit talking. Through the window between the curtains PO was able to observe a white female subject, later identified as Serenity Nickels. Serenity appeared to be looking up at someone or something, PO was able to see her nod her head up and down as if she was responding to someone. Serenity then answered the door stepping out onto the front porch. PO informed Serenity of the complaint, she advised that she was in an argument with her ex-boyfriend who had left through the back door. PPOs went to the back of the residence unable to locate anyone. Police did not hear the back door open, believing the male subject was still inside the residence. Serenity advised that she was in an argument with her ex-boyfriend Anothoney Smith. Dispatch advised they were unable to find Anothoney Smith in Spillman or through LEADS/NCIC. Serenity had gave police a fake name of the male subject. Dispatch then advised that there was a prior domestic dispute between and Serenity and Justin Thompson on August 30th 2023. Justin was also a black male subject. When asking to search the residence for the male subject, Serenity did not give consent saying her two children were asleep and did not want to wake them up. PO observed a bruise under Serenity’s left eye, when asking her about the bruise, she stated that she had fell about 20 minutes ago causing the bruise. After question Serenity, she then stated that Anothoney had pushed her to the ground inside the residence causing the bruise on her left eye, a scratch on her right forearm and a scratch on her left knee. Serenity denied that this incident occurred between Justin and her. Serenity was uncooperative and stated she did not want to be a victim. Serenity completed a witness statement. Photos were taken of Serenity’s injuries.
Domestic Violence
On September 16, 2023 at approximately 12:39 AM police responded to 112 Winchester Avenue in reference to a complaint of domestic violence. PO spoke to victim, Ralph Mccreery of this address. Ralph stated his wife, Denora Mccreery threw a bottle at him, striking beneath Ralph’s left eye. Ralph had a visible red mark under his left eye. Denora advised she did throw a black velvet bottle in the kitchen but Denora stated she did not throw the bottle at Ralph. Denora denied striking Ralph with the bottle that she had thrown. Denora’s son observed Denora throw the bottle striking Ralph in the face. Ralph’s daughter advised Denora had thrown two or three bottles at Ralph, striking him in the face. Denora and Ralph are married and have one child together. Denora and Ralph both reside at 112 Winchester Avenue. Denora was placed under arrest for Domestic Violence. Denora was transported to Darke County Jail, no bond. Photographs were taken of Ralph’s red mark on his face. A victim’s right form and a victim notification form were completed. Three children were present during this incident of domestic violence.
Drugs
On September 16, 2023 around 1:03 AM police was dispatched to Speedway North, 201 Wagner Ave, in reference to found property. PO spoke with the employee on duty, Jordan Cross. Jordan advised he was looking around the store when he noticed a small clear bag containing a white crystal substance on a shelf, near the beer cave. Jordan believed the white substance was crystal meth. Jordan contacted the Greenville PD to take possession of the substance. Jordan showed PO the bag with the white substance inside. PO observed the substance did have an appearance of crystal meth. Jordan was asked if he knew who had left it, but he did not. Jordan advised the bag was found on a shelf near the beer cave, on the east side of the store. Jordan told PO there are cameras but they do not face the aisle where the bag was located. There are no suspects at this time.
Overdose
On September 16, 2023 around 1:54 AM police was dispatched to 5438 ST RT 49 S apartment 8 in reference to a reported overdose. Police located the victim/suspect, on the bathroom floor, not breathing. The victim/suspect was revived by squad and transported by them to Wayne Hospital ER, where she received further treatment. Drug paraphernalia was found at the apartment and taken as property. The case will be submitted to the Prosecutors Office.
Domestic Violence
On September 16, 2023 at approximately 5:56 PM police responded to 725 East Harmon Drive; Greenville City Park, reference a domestic dispute between Carlain Guthrie and Lenton Tucker who are in a dating relationship, live together, and have a child in common. PO made contact with Carlain, who advised that Lenton was in her vehicle and was refusing to give her the keys so they could leave. PO then made contact with Lenton. Lenton returned the keys to Carlain, and they left together. BCI only. There were two school age children present.
