May 18
On May 18th 2023, Police was informed of a Junk motor vehicle complaint at 311 Twelfth Street, Greenville, Ohio 45331. Police arrived at 12:41 PM and observed the two listed motor vehicles in the yard near the back end of the property, a red Chevy Cobalt without a license plate and gray Ford Taurus, bearing Ohio EPD1339. Both vehicles had flat tires and were not operable. The license plate expired on October 5th 2020. Police made contact with the property owner Ralph Helmer who stated both the vehicles belonged to him. Ralph arrived at the listed address moments later where he was personally served a junk motor vehicle notice for the two vehicles. Police informed Ralph he had 15 days to move the vehicles or have them repaired and operable. Ralph informed police that he would have the vehicles moved to another property of his. Police will follow-up and check on the status of the vehicles in 15 days. An e-mail has been sent to Safety Service Director Ryan Delk.
Theft
May 20
On May 20, 2023 at approximately 3:22 PM police was dispatched to the Greenville Police Department in reference of a stolen bicycle. Police spoke to complainant, Jamie Kirk. Jamie said an unknown person had stolen his bicycle. Jamie said he had rode the listed bike to work at Casey’s on Thursday May 18, 2023 at around 6:00 PM for his shift. He parked the bicycle behind the business. Jamie said he got a ride home at the end of his shift so he left the bicycle parked behind Casey’s. Jamie said when he returned to work on Friday at 6:00 PM the bicycle was gone. Casey’s does have surveillance cameras on the front of the building but not the back. Police checked with employees to view their cameras in front to see if the suspect can be seen on the bicycle. Employees were not able to see the theft on the surveillance. The bicycles serial number is not known. Without any other leads at this time nothing further.
Warrant/Fugitive from Justice
May 23
On May 23, 2023 at approximately 8:10 PM police responded to 106 Winchester Avenue to serve a Felony warrant for Tanner Hill. Upon arrival police made contact with Tanner at the front door. Police had prior knowledge that Tanner had a Felony Warrant through the Darke County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear on Child Support with no bond. Dispatch confirmed the warrant and Tanner was placed under arrest into handcuffs. Tanner was then transported to the Darke County Jail where he was released to Jail staff.
Agency assist complaint
May 24
On May 24th, 2023, police was dispatched to 122 West Main Street, in reference to an agency assist complaint. The complaint was from a subject from Fort. Wayne, Indiana. Police arrived to speak with the complainant. The complainant, Douglas Dasher, advised he filed a theft report with Fort Wayne, Indiana Police Department. Doug advised he posted two neon “Subway” and “Drive Through” signs on Facebook market place. That is when he was contacted by Ryan Plumback about purchasing the items. Ryan agreed to drive to Fort Wayne to meet Doug for the transaction. On May 21st, 2023, Ryan drove to Fort Wayne and met Doug around 11:00 AM. Doug advised he had 2 ”Subway” signs and 2 “Drive Through” signs. Doug advised he only sold one of each sign to Ryan. Ryan paid $150 and they loaded the signs into his Blue Chevy Colorado. Doug advised he left the location at the same time as Ryan, leaving the other two signs that weren’t purchased at the meet location. Doug advised when he returned to the house on May 22nd, he noticed the signs were gone and thinks Ryan came back and stole them. While speaking with Doug police asked if he still had the Facebook messages and he advised no he deleted them. Police did retrieve a copy of the report from Fort Wayne PD. Police was able to locate Ryan Plumback with an address. Police went to the address in the city of Greenville and met with his Fiance, Merri Secrest. Merri allowed police to look in the garage, where police located all 4 signs. Merri advised Ryan was at work but would be home about 3:00PM hours. Police returned to the address at 3:00PM hours and spoke to Ryan. Ryan advised that he did go to Fort Wayne to purchase the signs. Ryan advised that he actually agreed to purchase all 4 signs from Douglas. Ryan showed police the messages which showed they did agree to purchase an unknown amount of signs for $150. At this time the number of signs purchased is unable to be determined, so this will be ruled a civil issue through Greenville Police Department. Police collected a written statement from Ryan Plumback. Police made contact with Fort Wayne PD and made made Fort Wayne PD aware of the report and findings and Fort Wayne PD agreed they would file their report as civil. Doug was contacted and advised.
Dog bite
May 24
On May 24, 2023 at approximately 7:41 PM police responded to 448 Harrison Avenue reference a dog bite. Police made contact with the complainant, Jordan Thomas and the victim, Claryssa Massie. Claryssa stated that she was in her backyard at 444 Harrison Avenue. Claryssa stated that she had her hand over a 3-4 foot tall chain link fence petting one of her neighbors dog. Claryssa stated that while she was petting the dog, a 6 month old Blue Heeler jumped up and bit her on the right wrist. Police observed two teeth marks on her wrist and redness in the surrounding area. Claryssa did not want to be seen by a medic, but stated she would seek medical treatment on her own. Photos were taken of Clarrysa’s injuries. Police then spoke to the dogs owner, John Venrick. John stated that he secured the Blue Heeler inside of his residence prior to police’s arrival. John stated that the dog is up to date on its shots. Due to the dog being in its yard and Claryssa leaning over the fence when the bite happened, there will be no criminal charges in this case. The dog Warden was notified of this incident and a copy of this report will be faxed to them. Nothing further.
Theft
May 25
On May 25th 2023 at approximately 2:44 PM police was dispatched 1501 Wagner Avenue; Walmart reference a theft complaint. Police made contact with Wal-Mart’s Loss Prevention officer Jodi Edger who was with the suspect, William Hudson Jr. in the security office. Jodi stated that William selected the listed merchandise and placed it all in his backpack concealing them, before passing all points of sale and exiting the building onto the sidewalk without rendering payment. Jodi stated that her and another employee stopped William, William handed Jodi the stolen items and was escorted to the front security office where she then contacted GPD. William admitted to police that he stole the below listed items that he had in his backpack: One Dotcom only marker ($11. 07), One pack of five Sharpie paint marker ($14.42), One Painter BLI marker ($2. 52), One pack of Chalk makers ($10. 97), Two 350 Decolor markers ($8. 48), One 250 Decolor marker ($4.05), One pack of 5 neon markers ($9.97), One grey hat ($7.44). William stole a total of $68.92 worth of merchandise, all which were recovered and returned to the Walmart staff. Jodi completed a Victim’s rights form. Jodi also provided the listed DVD containing a video of the incident and a written statement. William was issued a copy of his citation for theft and advised of his court date and time. William was also warned for trespass from Walmart.
Domestic Violence
May 25
BCI only between Stephanie and David Green who are married and live together at 335 East Main Street. both parties were involved in a verbal argument over David inviting their son Chase Green and his girlfriend, Meredith Butsch over for dinner. All parties will be staying at the residence together. One School age children was present.
Assault/Resisting arrest
May 26
On May 26, 2023 at approximately 3:17 AM police was dispatched to 122 West Main Street; The Greenville Police Department reference to an assault complaint. Police made contact with the complainant Nicholas Feitshans. Nicholas stated that on May 26, 2023 at 3:05 AM he was inside of his residence at 303 Chestnut Street with his friend Ryan Ruppe. Nicholas and Ryan were lifting weights inside of the residence when his neighbor Gage Bradburn entered into the residence through the front door. Nicholas stated that Gage never knocked on the door to let him know that he was coming inside of the residence. Nicholas explained that Gage has done this in the past and Nicholas stated that he didn’t make a big deal of it since they’re neighbors. Gage is currently living at 303 1/2 Chestnut Street. Gage started complaining to Nicholas that he was tired of smelling cat urine inside of his apartment. Nicholas stated that he feeds several feral cats that live around the residence and some of the feral cats stay inside of his apartment. Gage wanted Nicholas to stop feeding the feral cats and he demanded Nicholas to remove the feral cats inside of his residence. Nicholas stated to Gage that he wasn’t going to stop feeding the cats. Gage and Nicholas then got into a verbal argument over the feral cat situation. Nicholas then told Gage to leave his residence. Gage then got upset and approached Nicholas. Nicholas was holding a curl bar with both of his hands when Gage with a closed fist struck Nicholas once on the side of his face. Gage then threatened to kick Nicholas in the ribs and he stated that he would finish beating his ass. Gage then left the residence. Nicholas then rode his bicycle to the Greenville Police Department to report the incident. Police could see on the right side of Nicholas’s face that he had a large knot just above his right eye. Just underneath of his right eye there was bruising beginning to form and his nose had dried blood around it. Police photographed Nicholas’s injuries. Police asked Nicholas if there was any other reason on why Gage would want to assault him. Nicholas then stated that he and Gage were both trying to date the same woman. Nicholas explained that he and Gage were both having sexual relations with Devin Dickey. Nicholas stated that Gage was upset that Nicholas was still seeing Devin and Nicholas believes that this was also a reason that Gage struck him. Nicholas filled out a written statement and a victim rights form. Nicholas stated that he didn’t need any medical attention. Police arrived at 303 Chestnut and made contact with Ryan Ruppe who witnessed the incident. Ryan stated that he was with Nicholas when the incident took place. Ryan stated several times that he didn’t want to be involved in the situation due to him being friends with both Nicholas and Gage. Ryan stated that he didn’t see anything and he was not willing to fill out a written statement. Ryan only stated to police that everything was fine between Gage and Nicholas. Police confronted Ryan about the physical injuries that Nicholas had and he continued to state that he didn’t want to be involved in the situation. Police attempted to make contact with Gage at his residence at 303 1/2 Chestnut Street but got no answer at the residence. Police completed a misdemeanor citation for assault and an arrest affidavit for Gage to be arrested if located on this date.
Destruction/Damage/Vandalism
May 26
On May 26th 2023 at 8:58 AM police was to dispatched to 164 Bellevernon Avenue Greenville OH. 45331 reference a vandalism. Police I met with Ashley Boomershine who advised that her white 2007 Saturn Outlook was vandalized sometime during the night. Ashley has a camera on her front porch, which is motion activated, but was unable to pick up the incident. Ashley had moved the vehicle around to the back of the residence. The vehicle had been keyed across the driver side front door and driver side back door, It appeared a word was keyed in the vehicle but the word was not legible. The vehicles front passenger side tire was also slashed to the point of being flat. Ashely believes that Kaitlyn Werling is the one who vandalized her car due to the two of them being in a fight for the past couple of months. Ashley filled out a statement. Police spoke with the residents at 163 and 167 Bellevernon who had cameras facing the front of Ashley’s home where the car was parked. Both residents were unable to obtain video footage of the incident. At 9:32 AM police made contact with Kaitlyn Werling at her residence, 632 Martin St. Ashley stated the she did not know anything about Ashley’s vehicle being vandalized. She stated that she had her kids last night and wouldn’t have been able to leave them to vandalize Ashley’s car. Kaitlyn told police that she and Ashley had been in a fight for several weeks now over Ashley watching her kids. A statement was filled out by Kaitlyn. With no further evidence, no charges are being pursued at this time.
