The Greenwave Varsity Bowling teams traveled to Ft. Recovery to take on Marion Local.
The girls got off to a slow start, showing 80 pins down after game 1. They worked and worked and slowiy started catching up after game 2 and the subsequent baker games. They cut that lead of 80 pins down to just 12 after the 5th baker.
They did a great job, but that early deficit was just too much to overcome.
The girls were led by Marissa Boney with a 172 high game and a 272 series.
The boys jumped out to an early lead of 64 pins after game 1. They more than doubled that lead in game 2. They won every baker game except the last one, losing to Marion Local 219-218.
The Greenwave boys were led by Freshman Roman Swisher with a 224 high game and a 423 series. Roman had 6 strikes in a row in the first game.
The teams will host Piqua tonight (Monday) at Woodcrest Lanes for their Senior night.
